Timed Sessions
We cherish our time with each client. Please note that all appointments are structured to include a total of 5 minutes designated for undressing and dressing. For instance, with a 60-minute massage session, this would break down to 5 minutes for undressing, 50 minutes of service, and an
additional 5 minutes for dressing.
If you are more than 15 minutes late for your appointment, we have two options available. First, the session can be rescheduled; however, please note that the full payment for this visit will still be required. Alternatively, if you prefer, the therapist can proceed with the session for the
remaining available time.
Spa Etiquette
Before your visit
- Arrive early: Arriving 10 minutes early is sufficient and prepare to complete the Client Intake form. This form is to be completed before each session.
- Skip heavy meals & alcohol: Avoid these beforehand for maximum comfort.
- Shower: Cleanliness is key, especially before facility use like saunas.
- Leave perfume at home: Strong scents can bother others and interfere with aromatherapy.
- Disclose health issues: Inform the spa and therapist about any conditions or allergies.
During your visit
- Silence your phone: Turn it off or put it on silent and keep it out of sight.
- Keep voices low: Speak softly in common areas to maintain tranquility.
- Communicate with your therapist: Tell them about pressure, problem areas, or anything that makes you uncomfortable.
- Drape appropriately: Only undress as much as you're comfortable with; therapists will keep you covered.
- Respect privacy: Be mindful of personal space in relaxation rooms, steam rooms, etc.
- Stay hydrated: Drink water or herbal tea.
After your treatment
- Tip: 15-20% is standard for good service, but check the spa's policy first.
- Be prompt: Vacate the treatment room respectfully so the next client can use it.
Provide feedback: Let the staff know about your experience.
Waxing Service Preparation & Aftercare
Before Waxing (Prep)
- Cleanse: Shower with a gentle cleanser to remove oils, dirt, and makeup from the skin, but avoid very hot water.
- Exfoliate: Gently exfoliate 24 hours before to remove dead skin, but don't overdo it.
- Trim Hair: Ensure hair is about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long for best results.
- Hydrate: A warm shower beforehand helps hydrate skin and hair, making removal easier.
- Avoid Irritants: Skip heavy lotions, oils, or perfumes on the area.
After Waxing (Aftercare)
- Soothe: Apply soothing aloe or post-wax oil to calm skin and remove wax residue.
- Avoid Heat & Sweat (24-48 hrs): No hot baths, saunas, steam rooms, or intense workouts to prevent irritation.
- Protect from Sun: Keep waxed areas out of direct sunlight or tanning beds for 24-48 hours.
- Wear Loose Clothing: Opt for loose, breathable fabrics to reduce friction.
- Hands Off: Avoid touching, scratching, or picking at the area to prevent bacteria.
- Skip Harsh Products (24 hrs): No heavy lotions, perfumes, or scented products on the freshly waxed skin.
- Wait to Exfoliate: Don't exfoliate again for a few days; then, exfoliate gently 2-3 times a week to prevent ingrowns.
- Moisturize: Keep skin hydrated with a light, oil-free moisturizer daily after the initial healing period.
- No Shaving: Resist the urge to shave between waxes to maintain results.
48-Hour Rule
The 48-Hour Rule: For the first 24-48 hours, keep the skin clean, dry, and free from friction, heat, sweat, and harsh products to allow the skin to recover.
Cancellation Policy
As a small, heart-centered practice, last-minute cancellations have a real impact.
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment will result in a 100% charge of the service cost.
